About

Introduction

I'm a Hungarian web developer, currently living and studying in the UK, specialising in backend development. I enjoy building systems that are efficient, reliable, and easy to maintain.

My experience includes working under pressure, solving problems quickly, and paying attention to detail - skills I've developed through both personal projects and participation in national and international competitions.

Education

I am currently completing my undergraduate degree of Software Engineering at a UK university. I completed the first year by achieving first class in all my modules.

I attended the College of North West London, where I completed my BTEC Extended Diploma in IT qualification, achieving the highest grade of D*D*D*.

After completing my course, I was awarded the Outstanding Student of the Year in Creative and Digital Industries.

Skills

My primary focus is backend development, particularly using PHP and the Laravel framework. I enjoy building APIs, managing SQL databases and I always aim to write maintainable and high-performance code.

While backend is my strength, I also have solid frontend skills. I can confidently build responsive, accessible interfaces using HTML, CSS, and JavaScript or TypeScript with React.

Competing at WorldSkills UK and in the international competition not only strengthened my coding skills, but also taught me how to write precisely deliver requirements efficiently under strict time limits - all which are also essential when it comes to working with real clients and projects.

Hobbies

Outside of web development, my main hobby is aviation. I enjoy flying in flight simulators, especially on the VATSIM network, where I can fly under real air traffic controller, where the service is provided by other enthusiasts. I’m also a tower controller on VATSIM, currently active in the VACC Hungary division (vACCHUN).

Check out my flight sim pictures on my Instagram.

WorldSkills Journey

WorldSkills UK 2023 National Finals

My WorldSkills journey began in 2023, when my teacher encouraged me to take part in the Web Development competition.

After progressing through the early stages, I qualified for the UK National Finals in November, where I won the gold medal.

This achievement led to my selection as part of Team UK for the international competition.

WorldSkills International 2024

Preparing for WorldSkills International 2024 in Lyon required 6–7 months of intensive training.

This included regular practice tasks, and international pressure tests in Hungary and Shanghai.

In September 2024, I represented the UK on the international stage in Lyon, competing against 33 other web developers from around the world.

I secured 9th place and was awarded a Medallion of Excellence, which is awarded to those who met the international standard by WorldSkills.

WorldSkills UK Journey Continues

After the competition, I began working alongside my training manager to support upcoming WorldSkills UK national events.

I also started helping train the next UK competitor for both WorldSkills and EuroSkills.

Being able to contribute to the next generation of competitors has been a rewarding way to stay involved with the community and share what I’ve learned.
